The Inishowen Peninsula forms a significant part of the iconic Wild Atlantic Way coastal route, offering countless stops for views, hikes, and photo opportunities.

If you want to explore your Donegal Heritage, Doagh Famine Village is a fascinating open-air museum near Ballyliffin that depicts life in Donegal during the famine and through the centuries.

On the way back, visit the Grianán of Aileach - an ancient stone fort which dates back to around 1700 BC and offers panoramic views over Lough Swilly, Lough Foyle, and the surrounding countryside. It's a perfect photo spot and a great way to connect with Donegal’s rich history.

Evening: Depending on how much energy you have after all of this exploring, feel free to take a short detour through Derry. Derry City is a vibrant city with a rich history.
